Anton (Tony) Oscar Aspeslet was born in Surrey, England on July 1st, 1918. Coming to Canada before he was a year old, the family settled in Bruderheim, Alberta where he attended Public and High School. In 1941 during WW II he enlisted in the Canadian Army and served in Canada and the UK with the South Alberta Regiment. He continued serving in the Canadian Army Militia after the war with first the 33rd Field Squadron Royal Canadian Engineers and later the 18th Field Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery which he commanded for five years. In 1951 he joined the Dairy Division of the Alberta Department of Agriculture. Tony was very active in the Masonic Order including having been Past Grand Master of Alberta 1976-1977, 1st Grand Principal of Royal Arch, and many other areas of the Order.

Only 90 additional (over and above the 2023 banners) will be displayed in the lead up to the 2024 Remembrance Day so sponsorships will again be available on a first come first served basis.
