Gordon Brown was born in St. Thomas, Ontario and was both raised and educated in London, Ontario. He served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1952 the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia‘s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI). Following his service in the military he began a career as a Caterpillar dealer in Alberta from 1957 to 1982 and retired as the senior manager of the company. Gordon then became the Chief Executive Officer of Brown Tractor and Equipment Incorporated from 1982 to 1996. Residing in Lethbridge he was Past President of Unit #53 of the Korea Veterans Association (KVA) of Canada; a Past Regional Director of the KVA of Canada; Past President of the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce; Past President of 702 Wing RCAF Association of Canada; Past Director of the Lethbridge and District Exhibition; a member of the Lethbridge #39 Masonic Lodge; a member of the Laurel Chapter #43 Order of the Eastern Star; and a member of the Shekinaah Chapter #4 Royal Arch Masons. Gordon was married to Marilyn with five sons and 10 grandchildren. Gordon passed away at 88 years of age on February 13, 2021.
