John Caradoc Jones was born on February 3, 1913, in Fort MacLeod, AB. He was raised in Southern Alberta and lived in Bow Island and Aetna before moving to Lethbridge in 1931. He married Virginia Rose Hirsche on April 5, 1938, and they had 3 children. John joined the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals in World War II and served with the 5th Canadian (Armoured) Division Signals, as a wireless operator. He was stationed in the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean, Italy, and Northern Europe. When he returned home, he worked as a milkman for Crystal Dairy, and served as an Alderman for the City of Lethbridge in 1962 and 1963. John died on August 2, 1986, and is buried in the Lethbridge Field of Honour.
