    John D.

    Alexander

    John Alexander was born in Calgary in 1915 and at the age of 24 enlisted in the Canadian Military. He served in World War II as a gunner with the Royal Canadian Artillery from September, 1939 to April, 1946. He served overseas in France, Germany, Holland and then returned back to civilian life upon demobilization. Just prior to deployment John married Margaret on 13 December, 1939. They had two children: Marj (Jim) of Lethbridge and Dave (Pat) of Calgary. John Alexander passed away in Calgary on the 15 January, 1982.
