Michel J. Raiche was born April 3, 1908 in a small community called Pont Landry, New Brunswick. He finished school then became a lumber jack in New Brunswick. Michel enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army November 13, 1942 as a sapper Royal Canadian Engineer in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was discharged from the army on March 21, 1946 .When he received his discharge he returned as a lumber jack then proceeded in his career as a carpenter building houses and doing renovations. Michel J Raiche was married to Rita Maria Lanteigne on Oct 15, 1940 in the small community of Gloucester the province of New Brunswick. Michel moved to Newcastle, New Brunswick and had seven boys and 3 girls: O’Neil, Michael, Lucienne, Lucien, Mary, John, Roger, Patricia, Tim, and Allan. Michel J. Raiche passed in 1985. Allan Raiche, his son Brandon Raiche, and great grand-daughter, Lilian Raiche, live in Lethbridge.
