William (Bill) was born October 28, 1922 in Lethbridge. His parents farmed in the Chin area. He was enlisted in Camrose, AB with the Calgary Highlanders in 1942. He served in Europe during WW ll as a private and was commissioned to instruct his fellow soldiers how drive and service the big trucks with the standard transmissions. He returned to Canada at the end of the war in 1945. Following his return, he married Lucille McKanna and they moved to the Chin area to continue farming. They had four children: Lynda, Kent, Don and Cam. Bill passed away on February 17, 1998.
