William Krysak of Krydor, Sakatechwan was born in Hafford Union hospital, August 8 1924. He attended school in Krydor Saskatchewan. William was enlisted by his uncle Paul Krysak in 1943 and served overseas with the 1st Radar Battery and then 8 th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery until 1946. As a Gunner in the Anti-Aircraft Regiment he was a detachment member on a 3.7 inch gun stationed in England. When the war ended William went to Belgium, Holland, and Germany assisting with the transport of German prisoners of war. Upon returning home he worked as a clerk in a General store. He then worked as a parts man in a farm implement dealership. Later he obtained a job in Milk River, Alberta as a parts manager at a Case dealership. He moved his family to Warner in April 1977 and in September 2005 to Lethbridge, Alberta. William passed away on April 26 2019 at age 94.
